Days of Film

Habits—which people often say take a month to solidify—are supposedly hard to break. So you’d think that I wouldn’t forget to post a video after over 120 nights in a row of posting. But alas and alack and (as I like to say to annoy my husband) alamb. 

I forgot to post two times this month. Both days I had taken a video and simply did not remember to post it. And they say habits are supposed to take work to break… 

And honestly, I’ve struggled in some ways this month. Struggled to keep going, struggled to find a muse to help me come up with new ideas of things to film. 

Luckily, I married an amazing guy, who is also very supportive, to the point that on some days, like the cool shot I posted on the 23rd, he does not just help me with the shot or help me choose which shot, but does it entirely—he picks up the video camera and seeks something out. When I edit this documentary together, he is getting a big spot in the credits — Assistant Videography and Direction, or something like that.  

Another thing that’s interesting is that some of my videos have received hearts (likes) on Tumblr, and then those hearts have disappeared after a week or two. While hearts may disappear, at least the youtube views counter does not, which is rather helpful to me.

And on that random note, and obviously lacking further inspiration from the muse (I used up all inspiration in the creation of these videos) here are my favorite videos from the month of May. I was rather happy with the month as a whole:
